Lawco Living
Lawrence County offers a variety of lifestyle options.

The Walnut Ridge/Hoxie area offers small-town living with an easy commute to Jonesboro and Paragould, two of the fastest growing cities in the state of Arkansas. Walnut Ridge and Hoxie offer the convenience of gas stations, grocery stores, national retailers and restaurants.
The county also offers a more rural living experience with many country homes available. Hunting and fishing opportunities are abundant in the western part of the county for those who want to live in nature’s playland. Several towns are scattered through the more rural parts of the county with locally-owned businesses providing services to their residents.
The county has a hospital, located in Walnut Ridge; a public library system, including three locations; a four-year college, four public school districts and a charter school.
Civic organizations and churches offer a variety of activities throughout the year, as well as opportunities for volunteer service.
Recreation opportunities include bowling, summer athletics for youth and adults, hunting, fishing and boating. Lawrence County has two state parks and several city parks. Water enthusiasts will enjoy spending time at Lake Charles or on the Black, Spring or Strawberry rivers.
